Mountain-Biking

Falcon Trails offers over 15 km of mountain bike trails ranging in difficulty from moderate to advanced.

We also play host to various mountain bike and down-hill bike races throughout the warmer months!

Bird-Watching

Falcon lake is blessed with a wide variety of birds. Our resort is on the migratory path of several types, including Sandhill Cranes. We provide complimentary bird feed in the winter season and there are always lots of visitors at the feeder. Birding guides are available with advance reservations.

Boating

Rent a boat and take in some sun! Faloma Beach Marina and Falcon Lake Marina rent watercraft all summer long.

Canoeing

We offer complimentary canoes to our guests. Go for a quiet paddle and watch the local wildlife along the shores of Falcon Lake. Better still, take a picnic hamper along and paddle over to Picnic Island for a day of barbecuing in the fire pits and swimming off the rocks.

Fishing

Falcon provides good fishing in both winter and summer. The big ones are down there - the fun is getting them out. Master Angler fish are regularly caught in Falcon Lake.

Camp Lake and High Lake are both accessible from Falcon and provide excellent fishing for the more serious angler. Fishing licenses are available at the marinas, Shell Station, and Park Office.

Golf

“Four” …. Bring your golf clubs and enjoy the very fine 18 holes at the Falcon Lake Golf Club — a world class golf course. Enjoy mini-golf in Falcon Lake.

Marshmallow Roasting

Our Falcon cabins each have a fire pit down by the lake. Enjoy a few marshmallows in the evening.

Mother Nature

Some of the best entertainment comes from watching the seasons change.

Ice forming

In the fall and breaking up in the spring is quite fascinating to watch and listen to. The trees are magnificent as they undergo their annual transformations.

Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)

We have one of the best southern views of the famous Northern Lights. On a clear night, our displays rival those seen in our northern communities. Bring your camera — It is a breath-taking experience.

Orienteering

Falcon Trails Resort occasionally hosts Orienteering Events. Come and learn how to navigate your way through the woods and have a lot of fun in the process.

Relaxing

Need a break from the regular pace of life? Come and relax in one of our rustic cabins. Let the magic of Falcon Lake rejuvenate your soul.

Running

We have 20 kilometers of fine trails. Go for a run through some of Manitoba's finest scenery.

Sailing

Bring out the salt in your blood — learn to sail at the Falcon Yacht Club. Children's "Learn To Sail" programs and Adult "Sail For A Day" programs are available.

Skating

Skate the old fashioned way. Come and enjoy our skating circle and rinks right on the lake.

Cross-Country Skiing

Snowshoeing

In the sunshine or in the moonlight, you can explore our trails and the lake on snowshoes.

Swimming

Falcon Lake provides some of the best swimming in the world right outside your cabin. Clear, clean, warm water (along with some of the nicest scenery Canada has to offer) adds to a great day of relaxing on your private dock or beach.

Tennis

Bring out your raquet and enjoy a few hours of court time in Falcon Lake. Public courts are available at a very reasonable cost.

Tubing

Uphill tubing? Yes, we now have our tub lift operating so you can slide uphill and down. Great family entertainment and fresh air for all.

Weiner Roasts

Boat out to Picnic Island and enjoy a weiner roast at one of the firepits. Marshmallows are allowed too.

Wildlife

Watching the wildlife is a favorite activity at our resort. Deer, lynx, fox, porcupine, wolves, the odd bear and moose have all been sighted at the resort.

Snowboarding

Fun to watch; more fun to do ... Snowboarders love our Terrain Park. Lovingly groomed to provide just the right level of challenge and excitement.

Four reasons to visit the ‘Trails’

Fall

This is our most glorious time. Warm days and cool nights. Watch the changing colours. Listen to the ice form on a quiet lake beneath the northern lights. See the gathering of the loons as they prepare to migrate.

Winter

Crisp, white, crunchy snow under foot. Hot chocolate and warm fires. Ski, snowshoe or just take a break.

Spring

Our best kept secret — the sap is running, the eagles are returning. Spend a quiet evening on the dock listening to the ice break up for another year.

Summer

Wildflowers and moss carpet the forest floor. Loon songs and nature trails. Summer at the lake.
