These cabins offer guests a unique opportunity to enjoy a lake virtually to one’s self. The two cabins will accommodate 4 adults or a family of 5 and are located on High Lake, a 2.5 km trail from the Welcome Center on Falcon Lake.

Environmental Policy
Falcon Trails celebrates the unique location of the resort by embracing a progressive environmental ethic. The following initiatives are a few ways that we work together with the help of our guests to minimize our impact.

The High Lake Eco Cabins
Winner of the 2004 Tourism Manitoba Eco Tourism award

We’ve gone all the way with these two luxury eco cabins. Located on pristine High Lake, an undeveloped lake that neighbours Falcon, the cabins were designed to have minimal impact on the environment :

Built using largely reclaimed or local materials
Kept ‘remote access’ to avoid unnecicary habitat destruction caused by roads and to promote sustainable transport alternatives (hiking, biking, x-country skiing)
Electricity is supplied entirely by solar power
Running water from gravity fed water systems
State of the art composting toilets
All Natural Cleaning Products.
For the safety of our guests, our staff and the environment we use non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products.
All laundry is washed with cold water and phosphorous free laundry detergent.
A composting and recycling program to minimize household waste.
Naturally focused landscaping that embraces the local habitat.
A native to Manitoba plant garden.

These efforts are made as an act of respect to the environment we enjoy and on which we depend, and to ensue that this beautiful ecosystem that we are privileged to enjoy will continue on for future generations.

We’d love to hear from you if you have comments or suggestions on how we can further reduce our ecological footprint.
